'Artists or Aliens?': Mysterious Missing Monolith in Utah Reappears in Romania

What In The World Is A Monolith?

By definition, a monolith is a large piece of stone or a block used for sculptures or architecture. However, the monolith in question is a large metallic structure that mysteriously appeared in Utah’s desert.

This unknown silver construction is one of this year’s many mysteries. The structure miraculously disappeared from its spot on the Utah desert and reappeared across the world in Romania.

Where Did It Come From?

The short answer is no one knows where the monolith came from. It’s mystery solely lies within its unknown appearances and disappearances that cannot be traced back to anyone or thing.

The only clue we have about this strange structure is that it could be a sculpture by late artist John McCracken. John used to sculpt geometric forms as a minimalist artist, and he passed away in 2011.

“He wasn’t your average sort of dad. He believed in advance alien races that were able to visit Earth. To his mind, these aliens had been visiting Earth for a very long time, and they were not malevolent.”

The artist’s son told the New York Times that his father had a strange relationship with aliens. He also couldn’t confirm John had a part in this exhibition, sending investigators back to square one.

How And Where Was It Found In Utah?

Wildlife biologists found the monolith while they were doing work on a helicopter on November 18. Officials did not disclose the exact location of the structure for safety precautions, but people were able to track it down.

Reddit users soon circulated coordinates which show a spot in a canyon in the south of Moab. The massive structure was then mysteriously removed without a trace on November 27, which is shocking for its size.

Did Aliens Place The Structure In Romania?

A structure of the same height, materials, and carvings appeared in Romania after the Utah monolith disappeared. Fans noted that this occurrence was similar to the plot of the sci-fi film Space Odyssey.

The comparison to the Kubrick movie sparked rumors of alien activity, and honestly, we wouldn’t be shocked. Romanian officials don’t know how the monolith got there, making the whole thing even creepier.
