The 27-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model decided to be brutally honest with her Instagram followers last Sunday and share how difficult it can be to a plus-size woman to navigate pregnancy.

McGrady expects her first child and shares how it feels to be pregnant in a plus-size body and the struggles she's been facing.

"Plus size and pregnant. Being plus size the representation already falls incredibly short, but being plus size AND pregnant? Forget it."

Posted McGrandy on her Instagram alongside a selfie in the mirror showing her bump. The model reveals that she had this gloomy idea of how pregnancy is — especially because of how pregnancy is often depicted in the media and fashion outlets.

"I knew going into this my belly wasn't going to be this perfect little round thing that just bops out, I knew I wouldn't have options for maternity wear, I knew my body would change in different ways than I have seen my whole life, and yet I don't know if I was prepared for how much the plus size pregnancy representation lacks."

Being pregnant is already a hard journey, especially for first-time moms, and as opposed to what so many people think as a glowing and shiny process, it's rather sweat and tears.

The plus-size model wants to point out that this is one of those moments we need more support and feel embraced than ever. Feeling excluded or abnormal during such transformation in our bodies and minds can make one feel lonely and isolated.

She closes her post empowering each and every woman during their pregnancy journey that they’re all worthy to experience this unique moment and they should enjoy every aspect of it.

Hunter McGrady married Brian Keys in March this year in California in an emotional and beautiful ceremony. She wore two custom dresses as she said that it was really hard for her to find a dress that would suit her well.
