The music industry has always produced some of the world’s most adventurous fashion icons. From classic with a twist to really out-there outfits, the Grammy Awards lives up to its expectations every year.
The biggest night in music history sees artists from all genres dressed to the nines. Here is a look at the most memorable outfits from the 2020 Grammy Awards.
1. Lizzo in Atelier Versace
The “Truth Hurts” singer donned two stunning looks during the event but her red carpet look was particularly memorable. Her old Hollywood inspired look included a silver and white Atelier Versace dress with a faux fur shrug. It was completed with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Her stylist, Marko Monroe, said when creating the look he channeled “the powerful, iconic women who have come before her and the imagery they’ve relayed when it comes to glamour – of course, with a little Lizzo twist.”
2. Ariana Grande in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture
The “Thank u, next” singer dropped jaws with an eye-catching custom-made gown. The biggest gown of the night was designed by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. It featured a layered grey tulle that cascaded beautifully in ruffles around the singer. The dress floated around Ariana in an ethereal manner that grabbed attention. She completed her look with grey satin gloves.
3. Alicia Keys in Atelier Versace
The naturally stunning Alicia Keys did not disappoint. As the host, she donned multiple outfits but one stood out more than others. Her Atelier Versace gown embodied the expectations of the Grammy’s best dressed. The gorgeous dress was an all-over sequined silver dress with a cinched waist and a sky-high slit that perfectly showcased her curves and legs.
4. Billy Porter in Sarah Sokol Millinery

It was paired with a Baja East disco-western jumpsuit and cropped jacket that featured 70,000 hand-placed crystals. The entire look was completed with enormous Alexis Bittar jewels.
5. Cardi B in Mugler
While opting to make a low-key entrance, Cardi B avoided posing for the red carpet but the Grammy-winning rapper still managed to grab attention with her stunning outfit. The custom Mugler gown was both sexy and glamorous with its sheer fabric and cascade of crystals. She completed the outfit with an armful of diamond bracelets and a custom Gismondi 1754 necklace.
6. BTS in Bottega Veneta
Korean pop group, BTS, dropped jaws with their classic-with-twist approach to their red carpet outfits. The septet wore Bottega Veneta coats. Some wore trench coats while others were styled with overcoats.
7. Dua Lipa in Alexander Wang
Much like her stunning hairstyle, Dua Lipa’s outfit was a throwback to the 90s. Her outfit was a cropped white top paired with a silky white straight skirt. Her top featured bra strap-like straps and a scooping neckline.
8. Gwen Stefani in Dolce & Gabanna
Gwen Stefani is the queen of provocative fashion. For the 2020 Grammys, she opted against a flowing gown, and instead picked out an ivory Dolce & Gabbana mini-dress. The eye-catching dress featured flower decals and Stefani paired the dress with matching thigh-high boots.
9. John Legend in Alexander McQueen
Styled by David Thomas, John Legend donned a crisp white shirt and Alexander McQueen suit that featured an asymmetrical jacket with pleating on one side. The pleat detailing added the perfect twist to the otherwise classic look. Thomas said:

10. FKA Twigs in Ed Marler
FKA Twigs was enchanting in an Ed Marler gown that could have come straight out of the remake of Hocus Pocus. The dress had a grey-and-black lace underlay, poufy black satin sleeves, and pink skirt.
