Low-Impact Full Body Home Workout | No Equipment (Unless you consider a chair equipment, in which case it’s minimal equipment)⁣ ⁣ The workout is written out below but I just wanted to flag this teeny little side note:⁣ ⁣ This workout is very similar to what you’ll find in the Vertue Method fitness programme only we use Kettle Bells (or dumbbells) to increase the intensity of these exercises, but also to allow us to train upper and middle back muscles.⁣ ⁣ One of the problems with bodyweight only workouts (and popular non-traditional yoga sequences) is that they tend to be quite ‘push’ heavy, in that there are a lot of pushing movements and not so many ‘pulling’ movements. ⁣ ⁣ This can create muscular imbalances, especially around the scapular which can lead to postural issues. ⁣ ⁣ Nek minute you’ll start saying you have shoulder impingement pain or shoulder blade pain or rounded shoulders and you’ll think it’s because you didn’t do enough heart openers in yoga last week so you start doing more heart openers and your middle and upper back gets weaker and weaker and you can’t figure out why so you keep doing more of the same stuff wondering why it isn’t changing. ⁣ ⁣ Then you decide to give the VM programme a go and you go …. Ohhhhhhhhhhh I wasn’t training my back (true story).⁣ ⁣ Food for thought.⁣ ⁣ Anyway – here’s the workout (the glute section burns). Save to rave and drop your Q’s below.⁣ ⁣ A1. 1-1/4 Squat⁣ A2. Incline Close Grip Push Up⁣ A3. Step Up to step back lunge⁣ A4. Wide Eccentric Push Up (with scapula retraction)⁣ Repeat x 4 sets @ 2-3 Reps in Reserve (RIR) with each exercise.⁣ ⁣ B1. SL Hip Extension (from the chair) ⁣ B2. Side Lying Hip Raise ⁣ Repeat x 3 sets @ 2 RIR with either exercise. Repeat both sides (obvi).⁣

Meme Sohee is back with a little ranty rant. ⁣ ⁣ How many of you have been duped into forking over your money for a program or service from someone solely because they “looked the part” and claimed to have the ultimate solution to your fitness woes? ⁣ How many of you later realized that you mistook their physique as a sign that they had the legitimate knowledge and expertise to truly help you? ⁣ ⁣ I’ve been there. ⁣ You probably have, too. ⁣ ⁣ What’s worse – people are STILL falling for it. A lot of this is human nature, of course. It’s normal psychology to attribute someone’s look to being a credible expert in their field. ⁣ ⁣ But being jacked and lean doesn’t automatically make you a qualified professional. ⁣ ⁣ You can be ripped while falling for every fitness myth in the book and not knowing an actual damn thing about training and nutrition. In this case, you could say that someone got lean DESPITE what they did, not because of what they did. ⁣ On the flip side, you can also be incredibly knowledgeable on all things training and nutrition without having shredded abs. ⁣ ⁣ You should be looking to see if someone prioritizes continuing education, tries to be as objective/unbiased as possible, and cares about providing accurate information. ⁣ ⁣ Be mindful of who you support, give your money to, and trust for reliable information. ⁣ ⁣ /rantover ⁣

Fitness is one of the most bullshit industries on the planet, people will sell you anything to make you think it’s “the reason” they’re fit, they’ll take steroids and tell you they’re natural, it’s the protein, it’s the bcaa’s it’s the preworkout, its this diet, it’s that diet, it’s actually all a crock of shit. I’m not going to lie, I drank all that koolaid for a long time. Because everyone is looking for that “one” thing! The f*cking NEO of the perfect physique, the shit that all the fitness people know about but no one else, The “secret”. Stop wasting your time. The funny thing is that somewhere in the back of your mind you know all of this but it’s easier to keep chasing the secret and say it doesn’t work than to do the shit that really works. Eat well and work out BOOM, that easy. I’m not saying it’s not hard work but it’s mostly what happens in that head of yours that’s going to get you to the next level. Action before motivation, in order for you to be consistent you actually have to GET UP do something and stick with it. Something real not some bullshit vegan protein you added to your diet. Sweaty HIIT @ home! 💦😅 ⠀ ⠀⠀ This sweat session was my workout for today, all done in under 20 minutes! I stuck to my tried + tested 30s on, 30s rest intervals and completed the whole circuit 3 times! Going for a circuit with these will help distribute the intensity across your body so that your heart rate stays up ♥️🎈 but your muscles can catch their breath! ⠀ ⠀⠀ Hit SAVE so you have it forever! 🥰 ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Squat jumps w/ tap backs: jumping up high or squatting up all the way onto your toes, and in prisoner stance (hands behind the head) to keep all the work in the legs and take out the arms! 🔥 ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Bear to down dog knee tap ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Reverse predator jacks: extending out and popping back in quickly! ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Alternating opposite plank taps: keeping a tight core and a neutral spine throughout, we’re trying to keep our torso nice and stable! ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Wide stance high knees: feet shoulder width apart is great, and we’re tucking our knees in towards the centre of our torso 🙏 Or you can just switch for regular high knees if you prefer! ⠀ ⠀⠀ 💦 Opposite knee + toe touches ⠀ ⠀⠀ 3 rounds of the circuit was perfect for me, but whatever helps you push yourself and get all the amazing benefits of moving a little today is perfect 🥰 ⠀ ⠀⠀ If you’re after a complete programme for feeling strong and pushing yourself at home, my brand new HOME. Reload programme has 10 complete weeks of training (with no workout repeats!) and nutrition guidance based only on the leading science approved by a true Dietetics expert trusted by British Olympic athletes 🥇 A free sample workout and lots more info is available in the link in my bio now! ♥️ ⠀ ⠀⠀ Love ya 💛
