10 Natural Remedies That May Help Slow Hair Loss

Our hair is alive, growing every day, and needs to be cared for, both to look healthy and shiny and to stay strong, resilient, and in good condition. Several solutions can help the appearance and health of our hair. 

Hair loss is a physiological process. Every day, we shed between 60 and 100 strands. However, the shedding is accompanied by the replacement. This is nothing to worry about, especially during the change of seasons when up to 200 hairs can shed per day.

Still, there are also home treatments that can be a good solution for hair loss, especially when you don't want to spend thousands of dollars or resort to a revolutionary transplant solution.

1. Scalp massage

One of the remedies for seasonal hair loss is scalp massage. But, don't wait to go to the hairdresser to give yourself one. So, get into the habit of doing it yourself during shampooing and in the morning before brushing.

Besides, there are devices on the market that massage the head. There is also a massage brush that improves circulation in the scalp. It is excellent for micro-circulation and helps strengthen young hair.

2. Foods with biotin

Biotin is found in nuts, sweet potatoes, eggs, onions and oats, and is proven to reduce hair loss. It works for women and men.

3. Onion juice

4. Green tea

5. Egg White Mask 

Egg whites are very rich in proteins, zinc, sulfur, iron, phosphorus, and iodine. Egg white constitutes an ideal hair mask very beneficial to make the hair healthy and thick. 

The nutrients in the egg white will nourish the hair follicle and soften the hair. Just apply the egg white to your scalp and leave it on for 15 minutes.

6. Castor Oil

Very rich in vitamin E and essential amino acids, castor oil is an incredible product for nourishing hair follicles and promoting good hair growth. Castor oil has a very thick texture naturally, so it's best to dilute it with another oil like coconut, olive, or sweet almond oil. 

Apply the mixture directly to your scalp, massaging gently. Leave it on for about an hour before washing your hair with a mild shampoo, or sleep with it.

7. Vitamin E Oil

This oil is particularly effective in the fight against free radicals because it is rich in antioxidants. It helps to increase oxygen supply in the body and stimulates blood circulation in the scalp. 

Just massage the scalp with this oil before going to bed, doing light, circular massages, then let sit overnight. When you wake up, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

8. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is effective as one of the best remedies for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth. It also improves the quality of the hair, making it smooth and silky.

For this remedy, take a bowl and mix two tablespoons of shampoo (preferably organic, without sulfates and parabens) with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel (also organic), a tablespoon of coconut milk, and half a teaspoon of powdered wheat germ. Wash your hair with this mixture.

9. Rosemary Oil


This oil is very effective in preventing and preventing hair loss while stimulating growth. It is generally used to condition dull hair.

Mix two tablespoons of your regular shampoo with two tablespoons of rosemary oil and wash your hair normally. Also, you can alternate with olive oil. Massage your scalp gently before rinsing.
