However, there are many other beauty essentials besides sunscreen that you should be taking to the beach. Some of these items are obvious, and others are a little less common in a beach bag.

Either way, here is a list of all the beauty essentials besides sunscreen that you should be taking to the beach.

Once you have applied your SPF, have your hat on, and are lying in the sun to catch a little bit of a tan, you will likely start to feel your face getting hot, and you might feel like you need something to help you cool down.

If you’re not the type of person who enjoys swimming in the ocean to cool down, simply bring a facial mist with you to the beach that you can spray on when you are feeling hot, and this will help you to cool down.

Summer beach days always end with extremely salty and dry hair by the end of the day, which is unavoidable but not unfixable. If you do not want to shower every night and wash your hair after the beach, all you need is a hair spritz.

You can either use a leave-in conditioner or a sea salt hybrid spray in your hair after you have been swimming. This will make styling your hair easier and ensure that your hair doesn’t dry out.

Lip Balm

While everybody is conscious of ensuring that they have their facial and body skin protected from the sun by using an SPF every couple of hours, many people forget that their lips can burn in the sun, too.

For this reason, you should carry a lip balm that contains an SPF with you to the beach so that you can ensure that your lips are moisturized and protected from the sun at all times.

We all know how bad sunburns are for our skin and that we should try and avoid them with every fiber of our being, but sometimes they are inevitable, and we end up with burned skin even though we tried to avoid them.

You should always carry aftersun in your beach bag so that you can apply it to the affected area as soon as you notice there is a sunburn there. Doing this will ensure that the sunburn is taken care of ASAP.

Portable Fan

Laying on the beach, drinking a cocktail, and sunbathing sounds like one of the most glamorous things in the world to do, but the reality is that you spilled your cocktail ten minutes ago, and your hair is sticking to your neck because you’re sweating so much.

We can’t speak for the cocktail, but an easy way to avoid the sticky hair situation is simply to carry a portable fan with you to the beach; that way, whenever you start to feel hot, you can turn your fan on and cool down.
