Sleeping in summer is one of the most difficult things for me to do. It always seems like it is either too cool or not cool enough in the room, and it seems impossible to find a happy medium. Recently, I read about a hack that could help that, though.

People worldwide sleep naked every night and swear that it is the best thing you can do. There are also people worldwide who sleep fully clothed and swear that the people who sleep naked are crazy.

The people who sleep naked might just be onto something, though, and here are all of the reasons why.

Skin

Your skin needs to breathe at night so that your cells can regenerate and heal from the day’s skin stressors. This is why it is so important to wash your face before going to bed, but the same applies to the skin all over your body.

If your skin on the rest of your body is all covered up, then it won’t have the chance to breathe and regenerate in the way it needs to, which may lead to it becoming dry and wrinkling faster than if you slept naked.

If you are in a relationship, falling asleep next to your partner is one of the most comforting and peaceful feelings in the world. Having someone there when you fall asleep and again when you wake up is an incredible feeling.

However, you can multiply that feeling tenfold by sleeping naked. If you and your partner both sleep naked, it might improve your relationship and strengthen your feelings for one another.

Anxiety

As a human race, we are suffering through collective anxiety right now. Everyone is anxious about something, and many have no idea how to manage their anxiety safely and healthily that will benefit them in the long run.

Surprisingly sleeping naked is a good place to start with this. Sleeping naked could reduce stress and anxiety because you will sleep better, and a better quality of sleep will result in you feeling less stressed the next day.

Quality

You must know the feeling of waking up in the middle of the night with whatever you wore to bed twisted into unusual shapes around your body. It is highly annoying and can even be dangerous, but you don’t have to worry about that if you sleep naked.

Not having any clothes on will also lower your skin’s temperature, which will result in you being much more comfortable. When your skin temperature is lower and more comfortable, you will have a much better sleep quality.

Confidence

If you’ve ever heard of the life hack where you stare at your naked body in the mirror to boost your self-confidence and thought that it was insane and you could never do it, try sleeping naked first.

Sleeping naked can boost your self-confidence because we only rarely see ourselves naked, and so our own naked bodies can seem foreign to us. If you sleep naked, there is a good chance that this feeling will start to disappear.

Health

If you are not getting enough sleep at night, you could be at risk of heart disease or type 2 diabetes. This means that you need to be getting enough sleep and good quality of sleep every night.

Sleeping naked is an excellent way to ensure that both of those things happen. You will sleep better and for longer if you do not have any clothes on, which will lower your risk of these diseases.

Speed

For some people, as soon as they are asleep, they can sleep for hours upon hours, even if there is noise going on around them. However, falling asleep is a problem in itself and one that is difficult to overcome.

If you sleep naked, you are likely to fall asleep much faster than if you slept with clothes on. This is because your body temperature will lower, which will signal to your body that it is time to go to sleep.
