An Incense For Every Instance
If you’ve just started to get into spirituality, holistic healing, and everything that goes along with that, you have probably heard about incense. Incense can be used by anybody and can be used for many purposes.
Not only does incense smell amazing, but it can clear energy, have health benefits, and is one of the best ways to get started with sageing and other things that are involved in spirituality and holistic healing.
Here are the different uses of incense and when you can burn them.
Meditation

Several smells have been linked to a better concentration, such as citric scents and frankincense. The one time that you need to be able to concentrate properly is when you’re meditating.
Burning incense while you are meditating is a failsafe way to get yourself into the correct mindset to go into a deep meditative state and get the most out of your meditation.
Stress Reduction

You might have noticed that certain smells remind you of things and that others can evoke a certain feeling in you. This is because the scent is one of your strongest senses and is linked to the brain in many ways.
For this reason, burning relaxing scents such as sandalwood or lavender will allow you to relax and unwind in a way that you wouldn’t be able to if you weren’t burning incense in your space.
Clear Energy

Before I do anything new, whether it be a business venture or an experience, I burn incense so that the energy around me is clean and clear. I can spend some time noticing any negative energy leaving my space.
You can do several rituals with incense to clear the energy around you, but if you are a more simple kind of person, all you need to do is find the incense that you enjoy and burn it when you want to clear energy.
Stimulate Creativity

As I have said before, the scent is linked to your brain in integral ways, and that means that smelling certain scents will help you do certain things. One of the things that scent can help you to do is to stimulate your creativity.
Burning citrus scents or scents such as geranium and ylang-ylang can help to stimulate your creativity and help you to open up any blockages that you have been experiencing in your creative self.
Open Heart Center

Our heart centers are one of the most sensitive chakras on our bodies, and for this reason, we tend to close them up relatively quickly when we feel hurt or betrayed. However, there are ways to open them back up.
Burning scents like jasmine and rose can help to open up your heart center and clear the energy so that you don’t feel like opening your heart center will hurt you in the long run.
Sleep

Sleep is elusive to many people, especially in times of stress. Many people have insomnia and seem to spend most of their nights staring at the ceiling and wondering how they could ever fall asleep.
If your burn scents such as lavender, vanilla, and jasmine before you go to sleep, the scent will hang around in the air for a while, and it will allow you to fall asleep quicker and stay asleep for longer.
Yoga

In the same way, you need to concentrate on meditating; you need to concentrate when you are doing yoga, especially if you are trying to be mindful while doing yoga.
It is a good idea for you to burn some incense to help you focus and concentrate on your yoga enough that you enter a more mindful place and get more out of the yoga experience.
Fire Elements

Many of you may participate in various rituals that bring about change or manifestations or something else in your spiritual journey. These rituals need all of the four elements to be incorporated.
To do this, you can have all three of your other elements incorporated and then use incense as your fire element because of the burning that is involved. It is a safe and interesting way to incorporate the element.
Grounding

The final thing that incense can help you to do is to ground yourself. If you feel overwhelmed or anxious about something, you might need to do some grounding to come back to yourself.
All you need to do is burn incense that is either vetiver or cedar to help ground you and stop feeling as anxious and overwhelmed as before.
