Studies showed that toothpaste containing baking soda and 1% hydrogen peroxide could lead to noticeably whiter teeth. Another study found that toothpaste, both used twice a day, can lead to 62% whiter teeth in six weeks.

It should be noted that there are questions regarding the safety of hydrogen peroxide. Diluted concentration is safe. Strong concentration or overuse can cause tooth sensitivity and gum irritation.
If you plan to use hydrogen peroxide, be sure to use a 1.5% or 3% solution to avoid any side effects. Use it as a mouthwash right before brushing your teeth. Also, you can mix it with baking soda and brush your teeth with the mixture.
