There have been many debates about whether or not to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Many people are all for it, and many other people can think of nothing worse than getting the vaccine.

Worldwide, there have been companies advocating for the vaccine and trying to promote all the positive outcomes it could bring, while others quietly step back from all of the drama not to hurt their businesses.

Then there are the companies that have gone a different route and incentivised the vaccine.

Over the past year, once the world was allowed to open up a little more than it was during the lockdown, Krispy Kreme’s stores have been bustling with activity. This isn’t just from happy customers racing back into the store to get their donut fix, though.

Since Krispy Kreme was allowed to open again after lockdown, they sent out free donuts to those on the frontline of the pandemic. Free donuts were given to first responders, healthcare workers, and teachers.

Many large companies worldwide are incentivizing the vaccine for their staff. Staff is getting paid time off if they get the vaccine. Krispy Kreme is one of these companies. All staff in all stores and the company’s corporate division will get paid time off if they receive the vaccine.

However, Krispy Kreme is the first company to incentivize the vaccine to their customers. The company has announced that as of the 22nd of March 2021, customers who produce a valid vaccination card will be eligible to receive a free donut.

The donut that you will receive is the original glazed donut, and it can be found at 369 stores across 41 states. All you have to do is get the vaccine and then find out which store near you participates in the promotion.

This promotion is valid throughout 2021, and the free donuts can be redeemed multiple times a day until the end of 2021. A spokesperson for the company says that Krispy Kreme hopes that more companies will participate in vaccine-related promotions.

While some were not impressed that Krispy Kreme had offered donuts to those who got the vaccine, many others were impressed with the company’s initiative and think it is a wonderful idea.
