We have waited for seemingly an eternity for the return of the remaining part of Lucifer Season 5. And while it's been displeasing to not find any details on Netflix's monthly show lineup till now, we finally have a release date for part two, set in late May.
The devil is back with a bang, and we couldn't be happier. The midseason finale of season 5 that left us all hanging because of COVID-19 is officially returning with its second part next month on Netflix.
Season 5 Part 1 consisted of eight episodes, which dropped in August last year. While the show was initially scheduled for a total of five seasons, its sheer popularity amongst a global audience made the showrunners reconsider. Here is everything we know about Lucifer Season 5B.
Lucifer season 5 Part 2 will be available on Netflix on Friday, May 28. The second half of season five will consist of eight episodes, bringing the total episode count for the season to sixteen episodes.
Tom Ellis, who plays the titular character of Lucifer Morningstar, was quick to share the news on his Instagram account. His post received massive praise and love from the fans.
"Prayers Answered Lucifer Season 5B drops on @netflixMay 28th. Can't wait for you all to meet dad."
Netflix caught Luci-fans by surprise with its announcement to bring Lucifer back for a sixth and final season. The news was shared via an official post on Twitter, confirming that the show will return for its last and final season.
"The devil made us do it. #Lucifer will return for a sixth and final season. Like, FINAL final."
read the official post.
The sixth and final season of Lucifer has officially wrapped up filming. The last-ever season of Lucifer will comprise ten episodes, bringing the grand total to 93 for all seasons combined.
"Last scene with my brother @tomellis17... and I cannot stop crying. Thank you for everything, brother. You are a divine talent and a true Gentleman. I love you mate."

The first sneak peek of the episode has already been shared by DC Fandome. Ellis also shared the musical episode's teaser video, and Aimee Garcia, who plays Ella on the show, gave the fans a glimpse into dance rehearsals.
The original Lucifer cast will be returning in season 5, part 2. In addition to Lucifer, we will see more of Chloe, Dan, Amenadiel, Mazikeen, Trixie, Dr. Linda, and Ella.
Considering that the midseason finale ended with God's entry, actor Dennis Haysbert will reprise his powerful role. Inbar Lavi, who played Eve in Season four, will also be back to reunite with Mazikeen.
As per Entertainment Weekly, the 80's pop artist Debbie Gibson will make a guest appearance in the musical episode. Matthew Bohrer, Rob Benedict, Merrin Dungey, Scott Porter, and Brianna Hilderbrand will also be gracing us with their presence.
Given the cliffhanger that had us all perplexed, we might see more of Lucifer confronting his evil twin, Michael. Season 5 Part B will undoubtedly bring a lot more our way, so let's wait a little longer to hear back from our favorite Dark Prince!
