Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and A list Korean actor Park Seo Joon are soon to rejoice for the pair two are rumored to collaborate. According to the rumors heating the entertainment sphere, Park is set to join the MCU in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel.

Reports of the surprise casting began from industry agents. The 32-year-old has an extensive portfolio of work but is well known to international audiences for his roles in South Korea's Oscar-Winning smash hit, "Parasite."

Furthermore, reports state that Park will fly down to the US in the second half of 2021 to start shooting "The Marvels," a sequel to Captain Marvel. Here's what we know so far.

Details about the highly anticipated film are still hush-hush. However, it is known that this new film will expand plot threads introduced in Disney+'s original MCU shows. Park will then star alongside Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).

Set to direct is Nia DaCosta. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. According to Korean news outlet Soompi, Park's agency has not confirmed the news as of yet. Moreso, Park's role in the film is still undisclosed presently.

If the good news is confirmed, Park will be the third Korean actor to star in a Marvel Universe film. He joins actress Claudia Kim, featured in "Avengers: Age Of Ultron," and fellow actor Ma Dong Seok who starred in "The Eternals."

Aside from his work on the silver screen, the star has starred in massively successful K-drama's like "Itaewon Class," "Kill Me," "Heal Me," "She Was Pretty," "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim."

When Is The Marvel's Release Date

The film is set to be released on 11 November 2022. It will be Phase Four of the MCU after the Infinity Saga, which concluded in 2019.
