Top 10 Beauty Looks From NYFW Fall 2021
Hairstylists and makeup artists always go all out for their Fashion Week presentations. Months of preparation, collecting inspiration, and collaboration results in jaw-dropping looks that set trends.
Even during the pandemic, the show must go on, and New York Fashion Week would never disappoint. This NYFW’s socially distanced shows brought stunning hair and makeup presentations from multiple designers.
Glam squads pulled off everything from polished and pulled-back hair looks to playful nail art and manicures. Take a look at the ten beauty looks that we adored from the recent NYFW shows.
The Vampy Diaries
Jonathan Simmkhai brought out the fall classic with his vampy lip makeup look this Fashion Week. The designer kept things in the same moody path with sleek middle-parted hair, Wednesday Addams style.
Regal Goth
Alice + Olivia showcased a collection inspired by the Upper East Side’s most elite, the ‘Gossip Girl’ crew. Grungy black smokey eyes and elegant updos were the sophisticated and equally rebellious order of the day.
Memorable Manicures
Kiss Products makes an NYFW appearance at the Rebecca Minkoff show with stunning stick-on nails. Our favorite design from the show was the yin yang french tip nail art that Minkoff also rocked for the festivities.
Crowned Mullet
Miley Cyrus recently brought back the mullet hairstyle, and now the punky hairstyle is on runway shows. We find it interesting that this specific trendy haircut was embellished with a beautiful crown-like headband.
Blurred Lines
The bright green graphic liner by Pat McGrath for Anna Sui was perfect for the show’s 60s psychedelic vibe. Some models also donned 60s style hair flicks, headwraps, and super animated accessories.
Rockin’ Red
Libertine’s eclectic yet chic rock n’ roll aesthetic was taken one step further with the Fall 2021 makeup look. Models wore bright red lipstick with bold black liner in true rocker fashion topped off with tousled locks.
Head Scarves
More time at home means less time brushing your hair, and it seems the current situation inspired Adeam. Headscarves were a stellar accessory at this show and would be a practical piece for anyone.
Clean And Monochromatic
Jason Wu’s models wore barely-there makeup looks and natural textured wispy hairstyles. Makeup artists kept things bare with brushed soap brows, monochromatic eye makeup, blush, and neutral lip color.
Stained Lips And Whip Braids
Cherry red lips that looked freshly bitten fit the romantic theme of love at Prabal Gurung. The hairstyling brought in the sexier side of romance with the sleek and high fashion whip resembling braid extension.
Lived In Eyeliner
The 90s cool girl was the muse for Victoria Beckham’s collection, and it presented itself in the beauty. The smudged ash-colored eyeliner and bed hair texture, and blunt haircut fit the beauty theme perfectly.
