At the latest round of fashion shows, skirts were everywhere, from pencils and minis to maxis, in every finish, silhouette, and color imaginable.

Miuccia Prada highlighted the trend, building her spring/summer 2027 collection around the skirt. “The skirt for me is like a T-shirt,” she once said in a 2006 interview. “You can dress very easily with a sweater or a shirt.” She added, “It can be… eccentric, but it doesn’t change you as much because it’s waist down.”

Outside the shows, street style stars followed her lead in everything from leather skirts and autumn florals to playful black skirts and bold statement pieces.
