There are a few ways to wake up ASAP that don’t evolve coffee. They might sound weird at first, but they actually work!


Waking up, especially if you’re feeling tired or after a restless night’s sleep, can be challenging. Fatigue kicks in, and more often than not, we’re crawling in bed, hitting snooze five times.

The good news is that there are few tricks you can do to get ready for your day ahead and shake off the sluggishness. However, these seven tips can come in handy and prevent you from falling asleep in front of your computer.

Create a Bedtime Routine

Truth be told: the snooze button doesn’t help. We’ve got this idea that hitting snooze will give us a bit more rest. But, in fact, they can ruin your day and make you even more tired.


A good solution is to place your alarm clock or phone across the room. This forces you to wake up and turn it off. The most important thing is: after you turn it off, don’t go back to bed!

Open the curtains and allowing the sun to come in, signs the brain it’s time to wake up. You can soak in some sun for a few minutes, or simply look out the window and get some fresh air will help you to feel more energized. If you have the time and a balcony, take a walk.

Splash Your Face With Water

After taking some rays of sunlight, the following ‘time-to-wake-up’ message you can send to your brain is through splashing some cold water on your face. If working out isn’t part of your morning routine, you can take a shower right after waking up.

Make Yourself Tea Or Coffee

Whether you’re a coffee or tea lover - after the shower or splashing your face with water, another quick way to wake yourself up is by drinking (and smelling) a warm beverage like coffee or tea.


Do Something To Boost Your Energy Levels

Now, grab your coffee or tea and treat yourself to something that boosts your energy levels. This last hack is personal, so do as you please. Can be reading a fiction book on your balcony, going for a walk in the park with a friend, or going for a run.
