Part of the appeal of the versatile product is the fact that it gentle on the skin, making it an ideal alternative to some harsher products out.

Micellar water is made up of purified, demineralized water and micelles. The micelles are tiny balls of oil that stay suspended in the water and, when applied on the skin, are abler to trap dirt on the surface,

Some traditional cleansers can affect the skin barrier and leave traces of chemicals that may cause irritation, redness, or dryness. On the other hand, micellar water gently cleanses the dirt and oils on the skin's surface without harming your skin's protective barrier.

To use the micellar water as a cleanser, saturate a cotton pad with the product and gently apply it on the face like you would a toner. Then follow with your regimen as per usual.

To use micellar water as a makeup remover, dab your micellar water on a cotton pad and then gently sweep away the makeup you have on. For eyes, lightly press the wet cotton pad over the eye to loosen and lift the makeup to avoid vigorous rubbing.

In addition to its cleansing abilities, micellar water is highly touted for its ability to hydrate the skin intensely. Most types of micellar contain glycerine, which is among the champions of hydration, able to draw in moisture and prevent dryness.

While micellar water in and of itself is not exactly hydrating, it doesn't dry out the skin compared to other cleaners, which makes it ideal for retaining moisture.
