The lockdown season may be here to stay, but the fashion-verse has acclimatized to maintaining its virtual image. And this couldn't be more true for premium fashion brands like Chanel, which happens to be an established tenant in the fashion arcade, known for creating lasting impressions through its iconic collections.

The F/W 2021-22 show was given a brilliant virtual reception, shared on the brand's social media in the form of black and white shots. The all-new Chanel collection features a perfect amalgamation of "contrasting and feminine" style, courtesy of the Creative Director Virginie Viard.

About Chanel Fall/Winter Collection

Chanel's latest collection embraces the ambiance of enjoying a ski vacation, coupled with the idea of "cool Parisian chic, from the 1970s to now." Viard chose Castel as the show's venue because she wanted a small, lively, and warm place for the models to feel at ease.

"I don't know if this is because of the times we live in, but I wanted something warm, lively. I imagined the models doing a show for themselves, going from room to room, crossing each other in staircases, piling their coats up in the cloakroom, and going up to the next floor to get changed."

said Viard.

The F/W collection showcased numerous elements drawn from Viard's inspiration over the years. She brought in the blend of tweed and chiffon, inspired by the legend and Chanel icon Stella Tennant.

Also, Chanel's fall 1994 collection, which comprised fur coats and suits, caught Viard's eye, who was quick to reinvent the pieces in a new light. The black and white theme helped establish a close connection with the iconic vintage vibes, reimagined in the modern-day classic Chanel style.

The ski-spirited collection featured Norwegian sweaters, quilted salopettes-ski suits and pants, short-cropped jackets, puffer coats, and chiffon blouses. Layered textures, tweed suits, and alluring silhouettes dominated the new lineup.

Quilted and faux fur boots paired with warm oversized coats were also the highlights of the chic Parisian-themed collection. Viard's love for contrasts while keeping things strictly feminine was also evident from the stunning fabric displays.

Fans on social media greeted the news with a welcoming response, calling them the most powerful KPop couple. However, a statement issued by YG entertainment said that nothing was confirmed and asked everyone to respect the artists' personal lives.

In the meantime, the KPop stars have been busy enhancing their relationship with the French Fashion House and donning Chanel accessories. G-Dragon is often seen in tweed jackets, while Jennie is referred to as "Human Chanel." Whatever is in store for the two shining celebs, we wish them all the best with their future endeavors.
