The American actor and comedian, Melissa McCarthy continues to march to the beat of her own drum. While other celebrities went off to dress to the absolute nines, for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, McCarthy had other plans.

At an event where most people are in black tie, the fifty-year-old had a spark of genius and decided to throw a curveball instead.

“I’m sure it threw everybody into a tizzy because the idea came to me the day before the Oscars. I asked, ‘Can we wear matching tracksuits?’ And someone was like, ‘For tomorrow? Like, that both fit?’ It’s not that easy.”

McCarthy told InStyle.

It was when she and forty-seven-year-old Falcone made their way onto the red carpet; the couple attracted more than just a little attention.

"I have never been flipped off or told to f—k off as much as at that party, and it was all done, uh, jokingly, but also with something real behind it.”

McCarthy recalls.
