We all experienced a dry spell in the movie department in 2020, thanks to the pandemic. In the meantime, some exciting movie trailers have kept us going.

2020 has been pretty much a 'lets catch up on old movies' kind of year. Many people had to get back to watching movies from the past because there was hardly anything new.

The coronavirus pandemic canceled a lot of huge movie franchises. The majority of the world has been in a lockdown state, which meant no theatrical releases and postponed shooting dates. Here's a list of the top 5 movie trailers of 2020 worth watching.

1. The Batman

The Batman trailer was more of a teaser, but it still raged quite the storm. Robert Pattinson's appearance as the new vigilante and his signature dark statement, "I am vengeance," had everyone going wild. We also get a glimpse at The Riddler and the Penguin.

There have been mixed reactions surrounding the new Batman franchise, especially Pattinson's entry after Christian Bale and Ben Affleck. However, the trailer has sure impressed the fans, and they cannot wait to receive more Batman news.

2. Dune

Dune could have been one of the hottest releases of 2020, but the pandemic delayed things. All we have now is the first trailer of Dune, which is definitely worth a watch. Timothee Chalamet never disappoints, and he seems pretty promising in the new Warner Brothers movie trailer.

Set in an alien land with an impending doom waiting for Chalamet, the cinematography and visual effects are pretty amazing. Jason Momoa also makes an appearance in the movie, which is enough to keep us craving more.

3. I'm Thinking Of Ending Things

I'm Thinking Of Ending Things is quite the intriguing trailer, filled with twists and turns. It is written by the Academy Award-winning writer Charlie Kaufman, who also wrote Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.

The trailer starts with a romantic Winter dinner, but things take a different direction soon enough. It's got that philosophical life-altering touch that is both relatable and makes one all the more curious.

4. Zack Snyder's Justice League (The Snyder Cut)

DC has brought our favorite superheroes together in the Justice League Snyder Cut, and we can't help our screams. The overall dark tone and action-packed sequences are sure to keep the fans hooked.

Zack's Snyder Cut has brought together all the missing puzzle pieces as we see the DC icons fighting united. There are also glimpses from the superheroes' personal lives, which accounts for an additional emotional appeal.

5. The Green Knight

The Green Knight strikes differently than the movies following a similar setting. The trailer shows much more than swords, armor, and fighting monsters in the process.

Dev Patel settles in perfectly as the honorable and daring nephew of King Arthur. The imagery and an eerie sense of curiosity surrounding the trailer are also gripping.
