Photos: Katy Perry’s Ex-Fiancé Orlando Bloom Lived in a Home That Is Like a Treehouse, & Its Color Divides People

The doors to the home that Orlando Bloom used to live in have opened to give people exclusive views inside. Online photos show all the incredible features and decor that the gorgeous abode boasts. However, the home's color has caused controversy online.

In the heart of Outpost Estates in Los Angeles at 2645 Outpost Dr, sits a beautiful black-colored home that used to belong to Katy Perry's ex-fiancé. Listing real estate agents Claire and Sam O'Connor are giving the public viewing access to Orlando Bloom's former home and the images they, along with other sources, have shared are breathtaking.

The residence sits on a double lot of 0.75 acres, a rarity in the real estate world. Photos of the completely remodeled abode, which Blueview Real Estate is selling for $4,995,000, show that no expense was spared in its construction.

Boasting 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms on a single-floor layout, the 3,310-square-foot lot has been dubbed a premium spot for entertainment purposes, and of course, a luxurious lifestyle. Surrounded by lusciously green trees, the home also offers privacy.

Upon stepping through the wooden double doors, one is immediately transported to a treehouse-esque paradise with surrounding flora and shrubbery visible from every window. The natural lighting, filling each corner of the house, illuminates the neutral and warm colors of each room inside.

While the home with beamed ceilings was built in 1940, the residence has been remodeled to modern perfection. A standout image shared shows a beautiful living room kitted out with cozy-looking couches and an armchair, a unique 3-stone coffee table, a striking white and black marble fireplace, and eye-catching artwork.

There is also a beautifully set-up home office that boasts a dark wooden desk, a black chair, two wooden chairs, a white table, and another fireplace. Adding to the ambiance and decor, a mini tree sits in one of the room's corners.

A view of the gorgeous kitchen shows the neutral tones and colors being carried through and, like the decorative fireplace in the lounge, has pops of white and black on the countertops and a wall.

In addition to fabulous decorations and flower-filled vases, the inviting space boasts grade-A built-in appliances. There is a range/oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a freezer.

Other appliances and features include a dryer, washer, alarm system, a vented exhaust fan, a dry bar, and barbeque. Stepping into the spacious bedrooms, one feels even more at home with the cozy, made-up beds and sitting areas.

The en suite bathrooms are just as grand as the bedrooms, with white and black patterned marble carried through to the bathroom countertops and shower floors. One bathroom also boasts a long, oval-shaped white tub. Furthermore, at the basins, there are copper-framed faucets.

As if things could not get any better, Bloom's former house also features expansive grounds outside. Stepping out of the home onto the patio, one is enveloped in nature's serene embrace.

Decked out with wooden patio furniture, the house's patio, which connects to the dining room and the kitchen, features a wooden table and netted chairs. There are also two armchairs placed on one side where the grill sits.

The bodacious lot also boasts a beautiful pool area with a stunning waterfall pool. Jaw-dropping photos and video footage show streams of water trickling and cascading down a bed of jutted-out rocks into a small pond, which then flows into the crystal blue pool.

Several outdoor sitting areas are situated around the home, providing ideal spots for relaxation. There is also a brick-layered stairway attached to the house, leading to a more private sitting area covered by a wooden canopy and boasting more gorgeous views.

Additional features of the treehouse-like home include a garage, a garage door opener, and an electric gate, ensuring extra privacy and security.

"The entire property is fully gated and tucked away off the street, ensuring peace of mind and privacy. Discover the serenity and charm of Outpost Estates with this magical home; a sanctuary where modern comforts meet natural beauty in perfect harmony," reads a part of the description of the house online.

While the abode is certainly stunning, providing more than an ideal place for residents to live, many people online feel differently. "I wouldn't pay more than $5 dollars for it!" exclaimed an Instagrammer.

Referring to the big brick driveway, someone else remarked, "And [nowhere] for your guest to park.. 💅🏾💅🏾💅🏾." "No view," commented another person on Instagram. Other people expressed their opinions on the house's color.

"Beautiful. Since when has black 🖤 not been tasteful? 🖤," pondered a fan. Another admirer praised, "Impressive attention to detail in this property."

Interestingly, the house's color has been widely debated for some time after Bloom painted it black in 2007. According to a media outlet, the famous actor's then-neighbors were upset with the color; however, it remained that way regardless.

Speaking about the situation, O'Connor Estates agent Sam divulged, "When Orlando did it, it was very controversial, and now it's pretty trendy to have a black house." Adding to the statement, Claire explained how the black actually helps with camouflaging the home.

Aside from the controversy surrounding its color, the house is also known for being raided by an infamous group of teenagers known for robbing celebrity homes called the "Bling Ring." The group robbed Bloom's then-home in 2009, reportedly managing to steal several of his Rolexes, art, and Louis Vuitton luggage.

That particular set of watches was especially precious to the actor as he began the collection when he first started filming movies; he said he would buy one for each film he had done. Luckily, thanks to successful tracking techniques, Orlando Bloom was able to retrieve five of the ten that had been stolen.

At the time, he had been living in the black home with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr, before he sold it for $3.9 million in 2014.

The house then landed in the hands of former Hulu executive and Blueview Real Estate owner, Jeff Martin, who then revamped it with new floors and custom cabinetry in the kitchen and bathroom.

Meanwhile, Perry has since moved on romantically. According to Us Weekly, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — Perry's new partner — has invited the pop star to spend part of the year at his newly purchased Montreal home. Trudeau reportedly showed Perry his $3.1 million property in Montreal's upscale Outremont neighborhood, with a source telling the outlet, "He wants her to live part of the year with him."

The plan is not about a permanent relocation; insiders say Trudeau sees the Montreal property as a second home for Perry whenever she is away from her family base in California, where she co-parents her daughter Daisy Dove with Bloom.
